Service Guidelines & Ratios
To ensure safe, age-appropriate supervision, WineAuPair follows strict student-to-child ratios:
Walking Toddlers
1 student per child
Dedicated care for the littlest walkers.
(Up to 3 years)
Each child under 3 is paired with their own student so they receive full attention and quick response.
This way, parents can relax knowing their toddler is safe, happy, and always in sight.
Ages 3–4
1 student per 2 children
Gentle supervision with a focus on fun.
At this stage, one student can guide up to two little ones through play, stories, and simple games.
Parents stay nearby, creating a team effort that keeps children engaged while parents enjoy their tasting.
Ages 5+
1 student per 3 children
Group play with supportive supervision.
Children over 5 often enjoy playing in small groups.
A student can oversee up to three, keeping activities safe and fun while parents remain close enough to join in if a little extra help is needed.
Ages 6+
1 student per 5 children
Guidance for growing independence.
Children 6 and up are more independent, so one student can oversee a group of up to five.
Parents remain in view, ensuring that if extra support is needed, help is always at hand.
Ages 7+
Creative play & fun
Simple activities for older kids
For children 7 and older, students provide light supervision and activities like colouring, crafts, and games.
Parents may also supply favourite toys and activities to make the experience even more enjoyable.
